Edge 2D Drafting is a new product from UGS. It is an extremely
robust 2D drafting application that includes all the 2D
functionality from the full Solid Edge product. And it is absolutely
FREE to download and use. Free
updates of Solid Edge 2D drafting will be made available with each
new release of Solid Edge and will contain all 2D tools and
functional enhancements that are added to that release.
For example, Version 19 of Solid Edge
introduces a wealth of tools designed to ease the transition of 2D
AutoCAD users updating to Solid Edge. All of these tools, including
enhanced workflow capabilities, an improved new import wizard,
WYSIWYG of imported files (matching of AutoCAD fonts and color
schemes) and many other capabilities will be included in Solid Edge
2D Drafting, making it a compelling application for AutoCAD 2D users
looking for more value and productivity from their 2D CAD seats.
